Issue: Printer is not
picking paper from tray 1.
Caused: The pick
rollers are not sticking to the paper causing it to slide. When the printer's
sensor detects that the paper its expecting to arrive did not arrive, then
that's the time it gives paper jam error.
Solution:
Remove the paper pick
rollers. Just remove the rubbers and wash it with alcohol or soap and water.
Wash it properly and dry. DO this even if the pick tires look clean.
The cause of this is
the materials used by Lexmark on this pick rollers. I talked to Lexmark tech
regarding this and he said they're already rolling out pick roller replacement
for those affected printers who is still getting the same issue even after performing
the above steps.
