Make Your Windows 8 Computer's Performance Faster

Speed up your Windows 8 Computer

Windows 8 is indeed the fastest operating system today, but it doesn't mean it can't be tweaked to make it more faster.. You are reading this post because you care about speed so much, so hopefully you'll have some take away after reading. Follow the instructions carefully.

Go to the start screen and start typing "System" and select settings.
Windows 8 performance option
Go to advance settings, and click on the settings on the Performance part.

Now on the Performance Options, select "adjust for best performance" and check the boxes for the feature you want enabled. Click Apply, then click OK.

Go to the start screen and start typing "Windows Features" and select settings. Click on the options where it says turn Windows Features On or Off.

  • Uncheck Windows Internet Explorer 10 if you don't use it that much or if you're using google chrome or firefox.
  • Uncheck "Print and Documents services" if you're not using a printer for a network.
  • Don't check the features you're not using there. Then click OK

Go to the manager and click on startup and click all details. Disabling unnecessary programs will save you a lot of processor usage which would make the processor work faster. Look for unnecessary programs running and disable it. If you don't know what is the specific program running on your computer, google it to be sure.

Download the Adavance System Care Pro and install it on the computer. It has several useful components including registry tweaks, defragmentation, browser cleanup, security hole, and a lot more. I would suggest running it once a day.

Another thing you can do is by going to the start screen and start typing "disk cleaner" and go to settings. Now select all the boxes to check and click OK and delete files.

Lastly, go back to search for disk defragment and select your C: drive and select on disk defragment.

That's basically it. Thanks.

New Updates in Windows 8.1

What's new with Windows 8.1?

It's back, the start button is right where it should be. Do take note this is not the actual menu, it's just a shortcut to the start screen which you can go to by going to the charm and press on start. However, being there makes it so convenient. If you right click on it, you can go to programs and features, power options, Event Viewer, System, and a whole lot more.

The new start screen. You can see similarities to the Windows phone 8 specifically with its new tile sizes. If you want to change the sizes, you can right click on the app and it will let you select what sizes you wish. You can also easily name group since the option is right there above the apps where it says name group. There's also a little arrow on the bottom left were when you click on it, it will give you a lists of apps that you have installed on your computer. You can now also personalize your pc by opening the charms and selecting settings, and personalize. Not only you can choose from pre-setup on certain themes but you can also change it by variations of background colors whatever your heart desires. You can also use the desktop background as the start screen background and you kinda get the sense that it's like floating.

To get access to the modern control panel, you can click on your picture on the upper right and select change picture. Then you will see a cool tap interface where you can make changes on your account, sync options, and its very fast and clean looking. You will also see the option for the lock screen, and a new feature to select a slide show and you can also change screen resolution from there. It also has an integrated SkyDrive where you can select the sync options.

If you have like 1280x1024 screen resolution you can snap it in 3 to 4 ways which was not supported before and now you can have it. It also comes with all the cool apps like the alarm, sound recorder etc... Help is also there and its going to be very very useful for the users of Windows 8.1.

When you go to the store app, it looks entirely new. You can see the pics reviews, highlights, and its really nice. The classic apps are still there like the weather, news, calendar, and all the apps that comes with windows 8.

Another incredible feature for Windows 8 is called the boot to desktop. Go to navigation then you will have this new option starting with replace command prompt with power shell, so if you uncheck this the actual command prompt is still there but you will also see an option for PowerShell.  What it will do is instead of booting the computer into the start screen automatically brings you to the desktop.

That's about it. Thank you for reading, if you have any thoughts about Windows 8.1 share it on the comment box. Thanks

Introduction To Windows 8

Basic Overview for Windows 8

Windows 8 is Microsoft's brand new operating system. It's geared for touch screen computer, mobile devices, and tablets but is perfectly usable with moues and keyboard. Its very easy to navigate with the new start screen integration. When you open or start your computer, the first thing it will show is the start screen or also known as the metro.

Basic Overview About Windows 8The interface is comprise of the live tiles or apps that are running and are updated real time. You can easily navigate around using the arrows on your computer. When you go to the right portion, you will see the programs installed on your computer. You can also easily search for anything on your computer or through the Internet. If you are so used to the start button, there is an option to enable it to make it look exactly like on Windows 7.

Most programs that worked with Windows 7 will most likely to work  with the new Windows 8. There aren't many differences there, however if you're upgrading from XP, you won't be able to keep your programs but you will be able to keep your programs if you're upgrading from windows 7. You can also keep your files if you are upgrading from any previous version of Windows.

Why switch to Windows 8? One reason why you should is, Windows 8 runs much more smoother and requires less processing power. Upgrading to Windows 8 is ideal if your computer runs sluggish, do a reformat and start from scratch with the Windows 8. You will see a big improvement with regard to the performance. Another great feature is the built-in antivirus called "Windows Defender". Windows 7 has a windows defender, but it's not as good as it is on Windows 8. You can still use a different antivirus like AVG, just make sure to turn the Windows defender off to avoid security clash.

These are just a basic Introduction of Windows 8 and reasons why you should upgrade. Let me know your thoughts about Windows 8 and whether you're going to use it or not. Leave a comment below.

Philippines Government Response to Yolanda Victims

Is it Our Government To Blame in This Tradegy?

A reporter from CNN Anderson Cooper reported about the current situation of typhoon victims, particularly Tacloban has been trending in social media like facebook and twitter lately regarding the lack of aid and military presence. This gains massive attention from the people of the Philippines, and the world watching the news.

They compared the Philippines response in this disaster with Japan. According to the CNN reporter, in day 2 after the tsunami hit Japan, you'll see Japanesse Defense Force conducting search and rescue operation to the area using their stick. Unlike here in the Philippines, it's now day 6 and you'll still see dead bodies all over the street and people begging for food to eat.

Is this because of lack Government response to this situation?

According to our President, they are doing everything they can to help the survivors. But the question is, is it enough? According to Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, who is one of the government official who immediately responded to the victims of this disaster, declaring a national calamity is not enough. It should be a national state of emergency so we can bring our troops to the area and help aid those typhoon victims.

I believe he has a point, the typhoon coverage is so large that our government might not be able to provide immediate help to all the victims. There is no local government to enforce the situation because they themselves are victims. I believe our Government is doing something to help the victims, but it's not enough.

Should we blame or Government?

It's not the right time to put a blame on our own Government. It's just not the right time. Even though I certainly believe that no one has prepare for this situation which should be the job of our Government. We are being warned that the strongest typhoon ever recorded in history is heading to us, yet we did not prepare immediate help to possible victims. Unlike what happen to Japan when a tsunami strike without warning, and yet they were able to provide immediate response to their people right after.

What should we do?

Ask yourself, are you making the victims situation better by bashing our Government? What do you think the other country will think about us? What I want to say is that, this is not the right time to put a blame on anyone. I've seen battle of the politician supporters, churches, and media in social networks which I don't think can do any good to the victims.

Let's stop sharing such kind of posts that would create anger, and depression to everyone. We have the power to make the typhoon victims life better by sharing post about helping. That would encourage other to help, not the other way around. I've heard people lost their willingness to help after watching the news that our Government is not doing anything or enough to help, and I'm sure more people are feeling the same.

It's not yet too late...there are more things we can do to help. Spread the word about helping, and encourage everyone. We all can make a difference, a simple help like packing relief goods, or sharing encouraging post to will make a big difference.

Tips in Buying Secondhand Laptop

Things You Need To Know When Buying a Secondhand computer

Secondhand laptop

When you look into buying a laptop, the first thing you'll need to consider is how much you are going to spend and stick to it.

There were 3 main types of laptop, Budget, Mainstream, and Ultra-Portable. Each progressively more expensive. Budget laptop are great for generally use online and word processes but they can be slow from more intensive tasks such as video editing. They also tend to be heavier and have worth quality screen.

Mainstream laptop made the step up with biggest source class disk, better processors, and more memory and a great all around use for entertainment including photos and video and tend to fit for flash storage(SSD) which is faster but smaller than traditional hard drive. They are great for carrying around and they are getting cheaper all the time  but it is an expensive choice as of the moment.

If you want to play high end game, it is important to look on what you are buying. There are very few laptop that came with the ability to play intensive games at decent quality. You have to splash out on a more expensive model to get added support from NVIDIA or AMD.

When you buy a new laptop, the main choice of many is whether I come from the Apple Mac running OSX, or a PC running Windows 8.

Google's chrome OS is a newer alternative but it has limited feature than you get on a PC or Mac. If you have heard about windows 8, the rumors is true. It is fundamentally a different way of using a PC and it is better suite for touch but is perfectly usable with a keyboard and track pad.

The great thing about Windows 8 is that many new PC is shifting with touch screen. We see a whole new load of hybrid designs, like slide board keyboard as well as the latest windows 8 tablets with detachable keyboards.

What to look for inside your laptop?

In terms of memory, we recommend at least 4gig. That's pretty much plenty for all computing tasks. For the hard drive, most laptop are now shipping with a 500GB hard disk. That's plenty for lots of apps, music, photos, and videos.

The processor is the hardest choice. Intel processors are the most common but there are some laptop that are available with AMD processors.  Intel's chip are the Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7. I recommend you ignore any older types of Intel processor such as Celeron or Pentium and go straight to the Core i3.

It is expected that Core i5 is better and it best compromise with the performance and price. If you are a gamer or using intensive tasks then I would recommend Core i7.

Before buying, make sure you check for the latest laptop reviews like techradarpro or Cnet for update list for the best laptop out there.

Alex Ariza Kicks Freddie Roach And Mock His Disability

Brawl between Rios Camp vs Freddie Roach

It all started when Freddie Roach, coach of Manny Pacquiao, approach Robert Garcia to tell them that it's already their turn to use the gym for Manny Pacquiao's training when things get heated.

Alex Ariza Kicks Manny Pacquiao's Trainer Freddie Roach

Exchange foul words started until Alex Ariza, the conditioning coach of Brandon Rios, which was the former conditioning coach of Pacquiao, kick Freddie roach in the chest.

Freddie felt the impact of the strong kick of Alex Ariza which leads him to retarate to Rios camp.

A member of team Rios also joined the brawl but was stopped by the security.

Alex Ariza didn't stop after he kick Freddie Roach. He also throw foul words to Manny Pacquiao's trainer, calling him "a joke" and even mock his disability.

Freddie Roach is suffering from a Parkinson's disease, which giving him hard time speaking.

Is it personal fight between Freddie Roach and Alex Ariza?

Alex Ariza was the former conditioning coach of Manny Pacquiao for 5 years. He was hired by Freddie Roach and given an oppurtunity to train the best boxer in the world in his prime "Manny Pacquiao".

Freddie and Ariza's relationship begins to sour in the past few fights of Manny. Freddie is complaining about Ariza's role as a conditioning coach and taking everybody's job.

Ariza always wants to be on the ring side when Manny fights, and he is also acting as if he is the coach. Everyone in Manny's corner noticed this characteristic of Ariza.

On the start of Pacquiao Rios training camp, Ariza was fired by Freddie Roach from team Pacquiao. Ariza tried to contact Manny, but the Pacman intrusted the decision to his long time coach.

Rios corner heard about this news, so they call Ariza and Garcia asked him to be the conditioning coach of his fighers. These includes Marcos Maidana, Garcia's brother, and Rios.

What happen when Freddie and Ariza meets again?

Well, it happen what happened. Clearly Freddie Roach intention is to let Robert Garcia know that they're already 30 minutes over time and that it's Pacman's team's time to use the gym, when Garcia refuse to leave and ended up with exchanging of words.

Robert Garcia was able to handle it, but the member of his team just let it out and didn't even care what people would think about them.

This would leave a bad image in Garcia's team. You can't just mock a person with disability and kick him in the chest without doing anything... Ariza has to be sanction with such act, and I'm sure the team Pacman won't let this get away.

Fans are hoping that this won't affect both fighter's performance, or if it would, it will be to bring out the beast in them.

Team Pacquiao and Rios will meet again this afternoon at 5pm 11/20/2013 for their fight conferrence. Everyone is anticipating what will happen next.

You can watch the live streaming for this pre-fight conferrence at the HBO sports website.

Be right back for more news about this fight...

US Military will help Philippines Against China

According to the news tegraph.co.uk, the US military has planned to help the Philippines monitor it's coastal waters as the depute between the Philippines and China is escalating.

The Pentagon said that delivering a land-based radar to the Philippines could be part of their future assistance.

"We are in the initial planning stages of assisting the Philippines with National Coast Watch Center," Major Catherine Wilkinson told AFP. "The center will create an overall picture of what's going on in the Phlippines' territorial waters", she added.

The Pentagon's comment came after President Benigno Aquino paid a visit to the White House, where he was offered a robust show of support.

China claims all the area of the South China Sea up to the shores of the other Southeast Asian Nations, including Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

China may choose to defuse tensions with the Philippines before the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations gathering next month.

But it is also possible that China is determined to humiliate the Philippines and, indirectly, the United States," Patrick Cronin told AFP.

"If China persists with embarrasing the Philippines, then I have no doubt aircraft sales will follow," he said.

Manila's request for US military help marks a reversal after the Phlippines evicted the American military from its vast naval base at Subic Bay in 1992.

Tensions between Beijing and Manila escalated in April when Chinese and Philippine vessels approached the Scarborough Shoal, which lies near the main Philippine island of Luzon.
